The Monastic Vocation
In the Orthodox Tradition the monastic vocation is a call to personal repentence and a life dedicated solely to God. In the Orthodox Church, there is no distinction made between monastic and non-monastic spiritualiity as all Christians are called to live a life of repentance, and dedication to God. However, the monastic, in his or her calling, is able to fulfill this calling in a more intense manner. We pray that in due time a monastic community will be established to uphold the diocese in unceasing prayer .
