In the latter 1800’s, Alfred Lord Tennyson invited a Russian nobleman to his estate. And early one morning this nobleman took off with dogs & guns & servants to go hunting. At mid-day he returned & Lord Tennyson asked him how he did. He answered, "Not very well. I shot two peasants." Lord Tennyson thought for a moment & then said, “No, we pronounce it with a ‘ph’ here. ACRY Ambassador Begins Real Break Romania Journey

JOHNSTOWN [National ACRY] -- Thanks to the generosity of the members of the ACRY, the faithful of the Diocese and the Kulis Foundation, Nate Choma, the ACRY Ambassador, and College Student at Kent State University begins his OCF sponsored Real Break Journey to Romania, today. Nate is part of student team that is travelling to Valea Plopului, a remote village about 70 miles north of Bucharest, Romania. This community takes care of about 220 orphans, handicapped children and children from families with financial hardships. Read more...

My Orthodox Christian Fellowship College Conference Experience - By Michael Stan

Write about your experience at College Conference,” I was told. Naturally, I want to share everything about the experience. Although, every time I sit at my desk to write about my experiences, I have no idea where to start or how to start. I suppose I’ll start with the fact that I ended up at College Conference as a representative for Camp Nazareth, as well as to film His Grace, Bishop Gregory giving his keynote addresses to the attendees. This opportunity was a blessing in disguise for me. The past five months previous to the conference had been very difficult for me. Without going into much detail, I must say that I had been “broken” in many ways and I needed to be helped and healed. I can honestly say through OCF’s College Conference our Lord helped and healed me in ways I think only he can. Before I was asked to work at and attend the Conference, I had no plans to go there. Don’t get me wrong; I wanted to attend the Conference because I had always heard so much about it, but I had the attitude of “maybe next year.” Apparently, next year was not part of Gods plan for me, because just a few days before the Conference I received a call asking me to film His Grace Bishop Gregory give the keynote addresses. Naturally I was excited to be given such a great opportunity to see my Bishop and to film. Read more...
