MERCER, PA -- Recently Camp Nazareth was the recipient of a very generous gift to help our children attend Camp. The gift was an unsolicited $2800 contribution that was given for camp scholarships. This will allow at least 10 children to attend our 2013 Summer Camp Program at no charge or allow 20 children to attend at half the cost. In conjunction with the ACRY’s generous annual contribution for camperships (usually 10 camperships), this becomes an even more significant fund to help some of our neediest children who would otherwise not be able to attend Camp Read more...

MERCER, PA -- From Friday, December 28 – Sunday, December 30 Camp Nazareth hosted a Winter Staff Retreat. The event was open to former staff members and potential staff members who are considering working at Camp this coming summer. It was a weekend designed to bring veteran and potential new staff together in the Camp environment to learn, pray together, get to know each other, enjoy the Camp in the off-season, and have fun in Christ together Read more...
JOHNSTOWN, PA [Diocesan Chancery] - His Grace, Bishop Gregory of Nyssa, upon learning of the horrific tragedy at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, where 26 people, most of whom were children, lost their lives during a mass shooting, has called upon the faithful of the Diocese to offer up fervent prayers for the many families and people affected by this catastrophe and the repose of the souls of the innocent victims.
