The Ordination to the Diaconate of Fr. Deacon Gregory Jusiniano

Sunday December 29, 2002 was indeed a historic day for Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Danbury, Connecticut and for our American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese. During the 10:00 am Divine Liturgy, Sub-deacon Gregory Justiniano was ordained to the Holy Deaconate through the Laying-On-Of-Hands by His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas. Deacon Gregory, a 2002 graduate of the Diocesan Deaconate Program, is the first member of our diocese of hispanic backround to be ordained to major orders. Deacon Gregory,a former Assemblies of God Minister, and a teacher at Danbury High School is married and is the father of 4 children. Together with His Pastor, the Very Rev. Luke Mihaly, he has organized an outreach program to the Hispanic Community which promotes literacy in the English Language. Fr. Deacon Gregory is one of six vocations from the parish over the past ten years. The posted photos below show scenes from this memorable day.
