Pittsburgh Deanery St. Nicholas Charity Dinner
On Sunday December 2, 2012 The Pittsburgh Deanery hosted its annual St. Nicholas Charity Dinner for the benefit of our Christ the Saviour Seminary. It was held at Banquets Unlimited in Wilmerding, PA. There were nearly 100 in attendance.
The evening's program included a traditional Rusyn Bethlehem Play, the Jaslickari (visitors to the manger) performed by our seminarians from Christ the Saviour Seminary.
There was also a special visit from St. Nicholas who distributed sweet treats to the seminarians and the clergy in attendance.
It was a special honor to have His Grace Bishop Gregory in attendance who delivered an inspirational message for the season. The evening's festivities gave His Grace the opportunity to informally meet and greet many of the faithful from the Pittsburgh Deanery Churches.
At the end of the festivities, Bishop Gregory was presented with a cake for the upcoming anniversary of his birth on Friday.
The posted photos show scenes from the St. Nicholas Charity Dinner and traditional Jaslickari.
