Youngstown Deanery Stewardship Workshop (5/3/2014)

On Saturday, May 3rd, 2014, 25 clergy and lay leaders from the parishes of the Youngstown Deanery came together for a one-day Stewardship Conference. The event was held at Saint John's Church in Hermitage, PA

Following Morning Prayers and introductions, Fr. Frederick Watson, chairman of the Diocesan Stewardship Commission, gave two
presentations on the meaning of stewardship and its implementation in parishes.
Fr. Frederick Watson began the workshop by reviewing the meaning of Stewardship from an Orthodox Christian perspective.
Parish lay leaders listen intently to the presentation.
The workshop was facilitated by a powerpoint presentation.
Fr. Frederick spoke about the need for each parish to undergo a self-evaluation process as a first step in implementing stewardship.
Clergy and lay leaders alike were actively engaged in the workshop.
Protopresbyter Kenneth Bachofsky, Dean of the Youngstown Deanery addressed the workshop participants.
