Connect Young Adults Conference Atlanta, Georgia - October 6-8, 2017

About The Conference

A dedicated group of young adults from multiple Orthodox parishes has come together to organize a conference for young adults. It is called the Connect conference and will be in Atlanta the weekend of October 6-8th, 2017! This is a grassroots initiative that has received blessings from Metropolitan Alexios of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Atlanta, Bishop Gregory of the American Carpatho-Russian Diocese, and the Atlanta Clergy Brotherhood.

After college is a time filled with much transition - young adults are faced with making critical decisions about their career, marriage, family, and lifestyle. The Connect conference organization strives to convey to young adults that we can lean on Christ, the Church, and fellow Orthodox Christians during this phase of life. You remember how fired up you felt about your faith during the Young Adult League Movement of the 80s? We would like to reignite this flame for the young adult ministry through Connect.

A little more information on the conference - the theme of the conference this year is "Finding Christ in Everyday Life," and we have two amazing keynote speakers: Bishop Gregory of Nyssa, Primate of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese, and Tim Tassopoulos, President and COO of Chik-fil-a. We will have six engaging spiritual workshops discussing topics such as: Living our Faith in a Digital Age (Dcn. Gabe Aldridge), Learning How God Pursues us Every Day (Dr. Despina Prassas), and Encountering God's Love In Marriage and Dating Relationships (Fr. Nicholas and Dr. Roxanne Louh). There will be opportunities for worship, as well as awesome social events! The conference will be held near the newly built SunTrust Park and the Battery Atlanta.
