NESQUEHONING, PA - The Very Rev. Protopresbyter Michael Sopoliga fell Asleep in the Lord on
Friday January 23, 2009. Father Michael was the pastor Emeritus of St.
John The Baptist Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning,
PA.
Father Michael will lie-in-state in St. John's
Church in Nesquehoning, PA
on Thursday January 29, 2009. Calling hours will be from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.,
with the Priest's Burial Service taking place at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Divine
Liturgy will be served at St.
John's Church
on Friday January 30, 2009 at 10:00 am.
Clergy are to wear white vestments. Clergy to be fully vested at the Liturgy
will be Protopresbyter Stephen Dutko, Consistory priests and priests of the
Pocono Deanery.
May Almighty God Rest the Soul of His Newly Departed Servant, The
Ever-memorable Protopresbyter Michael in the Mansions of the Just, Where
There is no Pain, Sorrow or Mourning, But Life Everlasting. May His Memory be
