Chicago Deanery To Host Youth Pilgrimage

JOHNSTOWN, PA - With the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas,
a Pilgrimage has been arranged for the Youth of the Chicago Deanery on Saturday
May 9, 2009 to St. John Chrysostomos Women's Monastery in Kenosia, WI
This Youth Pilgrimage is sponsored by the Diocesan Apostolate for Youth and is
open to all Diocesan Youth ages 8-22.
Pilgrims are to gather at
St. John Chrysostomos Monastery, located at 4600 93rd Street ,Kenosha,
WI by 10:30 am.
The day will begin with a
short service and talk at 11am by Mother Melanie, the abbess of the monastery
followed by lunch and a tour of the Monastery. A "Rap Session" with the youth
and adults will be held with Deanery Clergy in the afternoon. Come prepared
with questions or concerns!
A monetary donation or
small gift to the monastery will be appreciated.
While there is no
registration fee, all interested youth are asked to make their intentions known
to their parish priest by May 2, 2009. Each priest is to kindly inform
Fr. Samuel Sherry, the dean of the Chicago Deanery as to the number of
youth and adult chaperones who will be attending.
