Metropolitan Nicholas Invited to White House

WASHINGTON, DC - His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas joined His
Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, the Chairman of the Standing Conference of
Canonical Orthodox Bishops (SCOBA) and Archbishop Antony of the Ukrainian
Orthodox Church of the U.S.A. at the 55th National Day of Prayer at the White
House.
The National Day of Prayer is an annual event, established 55 years ago, in
which millions of Americans unite to pray for our country and leaders .The White
House observance, held this year in the East Room, traditionally headlines
events held in public venues to pray for the nation, governmental leaders,
media, churches, families and schools. The gathering was hosted by President
George W. Bush
Metropolitan Nicholas was accompanied to the White House by the Very Rev.
Miles Zdinak, Dean of the Washington Deanery
