Very Rev. Protopresbyter Stephen Shutack Reposes in the Lord

STRATFORD, CT - The Very Rev. Protopresbyter Stephen Shutack fell asleep in the Lord on
Friday June 6, 2008. Father Stephen, pastor Emeritus of St. John The
Baptist Orthodox Church, Stratford, CT (Silver
Lane), along with Pani Helen lived in retirement Bridgeport, CT.
Father Stephen will lie-in-state in St. John's
Church in Stratford on Monday, June 9, 2008. Calling
hours will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm., with the Priest's Burial Service taking
place at 6:30 pm. The Funeral Divine Liturgy will be served By His Eminence,
Metropolitan Nicholas at St.
John's Church
on Tuesday, June10th, 2008 at 9:00 am. Interment will take place on Wed June
11th in Nesquehoning , PA. Clergy are to wear white vestments.
May Almighty God Rest the Soul of His Newly Departed Servant, The
Ever-memorable Protopresbyter Stephen in the Mansions of the Just, Where
There is no Pain, Sorrow or Mourning, But Life Everlasting. May His Memory be
