Bishop Gregory to Participate in Diocesan Lenten Retreats

JOHNSTOWN, PA  - The Diocesan Chancery is pleased to announce the schedule of  the annual Diocesan Lenten Retreats, which are sponsored by the ACRY for the upcoming Lenten Season.   This year, His Grace Bishop Gregory will be in attendance at  the Central and Eastern Regional  Retreats and will actively take part in both the adult and youth tracks.

Central Region:  Saturday April 6, 2013 at  St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Homestead, PA from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (EST). His Grace, Bishop Gregory will speak on the topic Repentance and Confession and will be assisted by Fr.  Matthew Stagon who will lead the youth in an interactive discussion on the theme The Biggest Little Question; Who is God?  Registration is required and must be made by March 29, 2013. Eastern Region:  Saturday April 20, 2013 at  Holy Ghost Orthodox Church, Phoenixville, PA from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST).  His Grace Bishop Bishop Gregory will speak on the topic Repentance and Confession.  He will be assisted by  Mr. Theodore Nicolakis who will lead the teens in an interactive discussion on the theme With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility  and the Rev. Fr. Peter Zarynow who will speak to the children ages 6-11 on the topic: I'm Sorry and I Really Mean It!" Western Region:  Saturday April 20, 2013 at St Michael's Church, Niles, IL at 2:00 pm (CST)  Subdeacon Jonathan Bannon will give a presentation on the topic: What is an Icon? While sponsored and organized by the National ACRY, these retreats are open to all of our diocesan faithful, family and friends.  All are encouraged to attend and take the opportunity to retreat from the world for a day and meet  His Grace, Bishop Gregory.
