Bishop-Elect Gregory Travels to Constantinople

His Grace, Bishop-Elect Gregory, accompanied by Very Rev. Protopresbyter Mark Arey, Director of the Office of Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations
of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America travelled to The Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople to take part in the official ceremonies of announcement and acceptance of his election as ruling diocesan bishop of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the U.S.A. with the title Bishop of Nyssa.

On Wednesday, October 31, 2012, His Grace, Bishop-Elect Gregory took part in the official ceremonies of Mikro and Mega Minima, at the Holy Trinity Chapel of the Holy Theological School of Halki in the presence of His All-Holiness, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and the Members of the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

Also in attendance at the ceremonies were His Eminence, Metropolitan-Elect Antony, His Grace Bishop Daniel and pilgrims from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the U.S.A. who were also visiting the Ecumenical Patriarchate to be present for Metropolitan-Elect Antony's acceptance of his elevation to Metropolitan of the UOCOFUSA.

The Island of Halki
His Grace, Bishop-Elect Gregory shares a ride from the boat dock up the hill to the Theological School of Halki with Protopresbyter Mark Arey, Director of the Office of Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, who accompanied him on his journey to Constantinople.
