Difference Makers - Staff Recruitment Retreat - Camp Nazareth
MERCER, PA --- Do
you want to make a real difference in the life of a child? Do you
believe that you can make a difference in that child’s life? Then Camp Nazareth
and our Diocese call you to be a member of the 2011 Camp Nazareth Summer
Staff. Because at Camp, the Staff makes all the difference!
That’s your job as a Camp Nazareth Staff Member. It is
to make a difference in the life of the campers. It is not to get another
mark on a resume, nor is it to find something to do over the Summer, nor is it
a last resort when other options fail to materialize for the Summer. As a
Camp Nazareth Staff member parents entrust their children to your care, not so
much the Camp Director’s care, but into your
care. You are called upon by the campers to help them, listen to them,
lead them, be there for them, comfort them, guide them, talk with them, and
inspire them.
In all of this, and at every moment of the Camp Program,
you are the face of the Camp. Campers look into that face and either they
will see a person who wants to make a difference in their lives, or a person
who is just along for the ride, so to speak. And if they see in you a
person who is there for them, whose commitment is to their
experience of Camp and of Christ, what an impact you can have in their
lives! What an impact you can have!
It is an exciting time right now for Camp Nazareth.
At this time of year it is beginning to look for young men and women who are
committed to Christ and who want to make a difference in the life of our
children. The Camp wants you to be a part of the 2011 Summer Staff if you
fit this description. We want you to be the face of Camp in 2011.
We want you to be a part of the 2011 Camp Nazareth Staff: The
Difference-Makers.
If you want to be a Difference-Maker in 2011, if you
think you have what it takes to be a part of the The Difference-Makers,
then you are invited to The
Difference-Makers Camp, which will be held at Camp Nazareth
from Friday, December 17- Sunday, December 19. All meals and lodging will
be paid for by the Camp. All you need to do is show up for The DMC.
At the Camp we’re going to have some fun together, we’re going to learn a
little together, talk about the 2011 Summer Program together, we’re going to
begin building our Staff Team together, we’re going to pray together, and we’re
going to begin making a difference in the campers’ lives together.
