Diocesan Haiti Appeal Approaches $40,000.00.

JOHNSTOWN, PA --- The Chancery is most pleased to report that as of the mail today, the Diocese has collected $39,978.07 for the disaster in Haiti. A combined check from the Diocese will be sent to IOCC in a matter of days. It is to be noted that the National ACRY has informed the chancery of its intention to donate $1,000.00 to the diocesan wide appeal.

 This reported total will undoubtedly increase in the coming week as there are still other known pending donations.

 His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas extends his deepest gratitude to all diocesan parishes and the ACRY for their generous response which also included hundreds of Emergency Relief Kits being assembled and shipped to IOCC.
