2010 Diocesan Lenten Retreats

JOHNSTOWN, PA  - The Diocesan Chancery is pleased to announce the schedule of  the annual  Diocesan Lenten Retreats, which are sponsored by the ACRY for the upcoming Lenten Season.  Download Informational Flier

Central Region:  Saturday March 6, 2010 at  St. Nicholas Church, Homestead, PA from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. The Adult Retreat Master, Fr. Stephen Loposky, will speak on the topic Accepting God's Mercy: What To Do When  Great Lent  Isn't So Great and Very Rev. Miles Zdinak, the  youth presenter will lead an interactive discussion on the theme "You are the Light of the World"  Registration is required and must be made by Feb 28, 2010. Eastern Region:  Saturday March 20, 2010 at the National Christian Conference Center (Valley Forge, PA) from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm (EST).  Very Rev. Protopresbyter Luke Mihaly, will lead the adults in a discussion of the topic: The Expulsion of Adam and Eve From Paradise: Insights into the Battle With Sin And the Spiritual Life From the Book of Genesis. Subdeacon Nicholas Mihaly, the Teen Retreat Master will discuss the topic: Music and the Orthodox Spiritual Life Protodeacon Gregory Benc will serve as retreat master for children ages 6-11 and will speak on the topic: Let Us Forgive All In The Resurrection. Western Region:  Saturday March 20, 2010 at St. Nicholas Church, Hobart, IN  at 2:00 pm (CST)  The Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry which is endorsed by the Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of America, will give a presentation on the topic: "I was in prison and you visited me….."
