Metropolitan Nicholas Honored on The 27th Anniversary of His Consecration as Bishop

STRATFORD, CT -- His Eminence was joined this evening by the Parish Priests of the New England Deanery and friends on the twenty-seventh anniversary of his consecration as Bishop at a dinner  in his honor at the Shell Station Restaurant.  

His Eminence was consecrated as Bishop on March 13, 1983  at St. Mary's Church in Allentown, PA. His Co-Consecrators were, His Eminence, Archbishop Iakovos and Bishop Philotheos of the Greek Archdiocese of America,  His Grace, Bishop John and His Eminence, Metropolitan Andrei.

Metropolitan Nicholas was enthroned as Ruling Bishop of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese on April 19, 1985 and was elevated to the rank of Metropolitan, by His All-Holiness, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I on November 24, 1997
