Southern Tier Deanery Hosts Latest Distinguished Diocesan Donor Dinner

BINGHAMTON, NY---This month, faithful from throughout the diocese have been gathering together to learn more about the good works of the diocese at the annual Distinguished Diocesan Donors Dinners, held throughout the diocese.  The latest dinner took place in the  the Southern Tier Deanery on Sunday evening, October 21 at St. Michael's Recreation Center in Binghamton, NY.  The guest speaker was the Very Rev. Stephen Loposky, director of Camp Nazareth.

The weekend encounter in Binghamton also included two "Camp Nazareth Reunion" programs at St. Michael's on Saturday evening, and at St. Mary's in Endicott on Sunday morning. Fr. Stephen engaged present and future campers, together with their parents and friends in reconnecting with memories of the spiritual joy and fellowship experienced during the summer camping sessions.

The deanery parishes of St. Michael's in Binghamton, St. Mary's in Endicott, St. Mary's
in Corning, and St. Mary's in Cheektowaga, raised $16,700 for this year's campaign,
with 120 guests in attendance.

Additional clergy present included Fr. Thomas Kadlec, Fr. Daniel Mahler, Fr. Michael
Kleban, Fr. James Dutko and Deacon Charles Ellis. Pani Kathy Dutko served as
chairperson of the event.
