BRIDGEPORT, CT -- On Sunday, June 16, 2013, Subdeacon Jonathan Bannon was ordained to the Holy Diaconate through the laying on of hands by His Grace, Bishop Gregory of Nyssa at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Bridgeport, CT.
A vocation of Saint John the Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Deacon Jonathan had the double blessing of being the first ordination to Holy Orders of Bishop Gregory and it taking place in his home parish. Read more...

STRATFORD, CT -- On Saturday afternoon, June 15, 2013, on his way to Bridgeport, CT for the ordination to the Deaconate of Subdeacon Jonathan Bannon, His Grace, Bishop Gregory met with the youth of the New England Deanery at St. John The Baptist Church in Stratford, CT (Broadbridge Avenue)
Following the interactive discussion between His Grace and the youth, parents and grandparents present, and the screening of a video about Camp Nazareth, all proceeded to the Church for the celebration of Great Vespers, along with the blessing of three new icons adorning the walls of the Church Narthex and Nave. JOHNSTOWN, PA -- If you're still on the fence about considering going to Chicago this Labor Day weekend, to attend the National ACRY Convention, it's not too late to get a seat on the Johnstown bus!!
The initial email was sent out back in April but so far only 20 seats have been reserved. There's room for 55 but if they do not get more people, they will have to cancel the bus. The deadline for reservations has been extended to June 30th!!
