Over Veterans Weekend, there is no better, no more important place for your child to be than at the Fall Encounter at Camp Nazareth. The National Junior ACRY offers sponsorships for those who may require financial assistance, ensuring that this transformative experience is accessible to everyone who has a desire to be there.
Participants can expect a captivating weekend filled with engaging activities that resonate with the spirit of fall season. The retreat will focus on the theme of "living eucharistically," encouraging attendees to lead lives empowered by the presence of Christ in the Eucharist within them.
The retreat's central message is to inspire young individuals to carry the essence of the Eucharist into the world. It encourages them to embrace a spirit of thanksgiving to God for the many blessings they receive and to become representatives of Christ in the world. Participants will be encouraged to see their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ through the compassionate eyes of Christ himself. Ultimately, the retreat aims to cultivate a profound sense of gratitude for all that God gives to us and to view the world and our lives as precious gifts.
The Fall Encounter promises a full schedule of events, including:
Worship and Spiritual Growth: A series of uplifting liturgical services and discussions to deepen the understanding of the Eucharist's significance in the Orthodox faith. Educational talks and activities will offer guidance on how to integrate the Eucharistic spirit into daily life. Full Camp Experience: The Fall Encounter offers our children all the excitement and spiritual growth of whole week at camp over the course of one weekend. Fall-Themed Activities: Outdoor adventures and team-building exercises that capture the essence of the season. Fellowship and Camaraderie: Opportunities for participants to connect with fellow Orthodox Christians from around the country, forging lasting friendships.
