Cathedral Live Broadcast Offerings To Be Expanded!

JOHNSTOWN, PA  [Diocesan Apostolate For Information Technology and Communications] In a continuing effort to provide greater outreach to the elderly and infirm who are not able to attend Divine Services in their home parish,  with the Blessing of His Grace, Bishop Gregory,  all weekday Holy Day Divine Liturgies and  Friday Presanctified Liturgies will be live streamed from Christ the Saviour Cathedral.

Website statistics have revealed that on average 60 people watch the live broadcast of the Sunday Divine Liturgy each week.  During this past month of extreme inclement weather in the Northeast, the viewing has more than doubled.  In addition, the archived high definition broadcast videos  receive more than 150 views!  And there are additional viewers who take part in the weekly video subscription program, which allows those without connection to the internet  to receive dvds of the Liturgy in the mail each week.

The Diocese is pleased to be able to offer this high quality on-line viewing service free of charge as a part of its Church Without Walls initiative.  As the yearly cost of providing this and the many other web based services of our Diocesan Technology Outreach Ministry is substantial  (in the tens of thousands of dollars range!)  those who have received spiritual profit from this ministry and have them means to do so are asked to offer their generous financial support.    To learn more about how YOU can help Click Here.
