JOHNSTOWN, PA --  As a result of  feedback provided from both on-site and on-line participants,  the next topic for our Diocesan  on-line Orthodox Scripture Study will be the Book of Revelation (The Apocalypse) The study is scheduled to begin on Saturday March 7, 2015 at 5:00 pm.

This weekly on-line scripture study will  be led by the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Kenneth Bachofsky, Professor of Sacred Scripture at Christ the Saviour Seminary and broadcast live from St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Warren, Ohio.  This study will draw on the patristic voice of the Fathers of the Church and will provide the participants with the  opportunity to  deepen their understanding of this multi-faceted Scriptural text  from the Orthodox Christian perspective. 

For those unable to view the class live, videos of each  class will be archived for later viewing.  

This study follows  the most recently concluded study of the Gospel of  St. John,  and  previously the Gospel of St. Matthew.  Some of the archived videos  of these lectures have been viewed  over 3000 times!   Many Diocesan parishes are using the archived class videos as springboards for discussion within their own Scripture Study classes.  

The online-class is offered free of charge.  While no formal registration is required, it is asked that those participating consider emailing  Fr. Ken at oss@acrod.org  to introduce yourself.
