JOHNSTOWN, PA - Plans are underway for the Annual Altar Boy Retreat which will take place from Sunday evening, July 1st (Registration is from 6pm till 8 p.m.) until Wednesday, July 4th, 2018.

Our theme this year is the "Who am I." The Altar Boys will be learning about themselves, each other and about God.

The Retreat will once again take place at Christ the Savior Seminary, Cathedral and Education Center in Johnstown and at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Windber, PA.  This year's outing will be to Teen Quest Ranch in Somerset, PA where they will enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities. This is the time and place for our faithful Altar Servers to join other Altar Boys from all over our Diocese.

All parishes of the Diocese are urged to underwrite the $100.00 participation fee for their Altar Servers, recognizing that the Altar Boy of today may very well be the priest of tommorow!  

Those parishes which pay their altarboys retreat registration fees, are asked to PLEASE SUBMIT THEIR CHECK BY THE DEADLINE. The money is needed to make deposits on the various activities that are taking place.

All checks should be made payable to “DIOCESE ALTAR BOY RETREAT” and sent directly to Fr. R. Michael Zak, 903 Ann Street, Homestead, PA 15120. Please include a list of names of those the Church is paying for so that payment may be credited.

Electronic Registration and payment to Fr. Zak at 903 Ann Street, Homestead, PA 15120 must be made no later than Friday, June 15th. Registrations not received or paid for by then cannot be guaranteed a t-shirt or even a spot at the retreat.
