Eternal Memory: + Mary Ann Maydak

JOHNSTOWN, PA - [Diocesan Chancery] -- With profound sadness the Diocesan Chancery announces that Mary Ann Maydak, the mother of Pani Sharon Holowaty, reposed in the Lord on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the age of 80.
Mary Ann, the daughter of the late John and Mary Ann Jovan (Bolha) was born on October 1, 1940 in Johnstown, PA. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Andrew Maydak and her brother, John and sisters, Gloria and Shirley Jovan. Survived by her daughters Sharon (Maydak) Holowaty married to Rev. Fr.Lev Holowaty and grandson Andrew Jordan (AJ) living in Schererville, IN, daughter Nadine (Maydak) married to Robert Kiser and grandsons Robert, Kevin, and Bobby living in Johnstown, and daughter Paula (Maydak) Grumbling married to Aaron and grandchildren Adam (wife Lauren), Aidan, and Adriana (Chica) living in Harrisburg, PA. Also survived by her sisters Janet (Jovan) Rummel married to Jim and sister Barbara (Jovan) Shook married to the late Edward Shook. Also, survived by nieces Liana, Lori, and Nancy and nephew, John and great nieces and nephew. For the last four years, she was a resident of Rosewood Personal Care Home in (Richland) Johnstown. She was also a steady 3-day a week dialysis patient at DaVita Dialysis in (Richland) Johnstown.
Mary Ann enjoyed watching her "game" shows and used to enjoy baking. Her Christmas cookies are remembered by many. She was loved by her family and loved ones and will be greatly missed. Funeral services were held by Very Rev. Protopresbyter Robert Buczak at Christ the Saviout Cathedral on Wednesday, December 2 with committal at the Cathedral Cemetery.
Diocesan clergy and faithful are kindly asked to remember the newly departed servant +Mary Ann and the entire Maydak and Holowaty family in their prayers.
