Jr. ACRY Announces 2024 Fall Encounter at Camp Nazareth November 8-10, 2024 | Mercer, PA

JOHNSTOWN, PA -- [Diocesan Chancery] The National Junior American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Youth (Jr. ACRY) is excited to announce the upcoming annual Fall Encounter at Camp Nazareth, scheduled for November 8th to 10th, 2024. Our children need time together with their brothers and sisters in Christ and this event promises to be an enriching experience for Orthodox youth aged 8 to 18 from across the diocese, offering a unique opportunity for spiritual growth, fellowship, and fun in the beautiful setting of Camp Nazareth in Mercer, PA.
This year's Fall Encounter will explore the theme inspired by Psalm 139:14: “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Through this theme, participants will be encouraged to discover who God created them to be, recognizing their inherent worth in His eyes, and deepening their relationship with Him, themselves, and each other. The weekend will feature a variety of activities designed to strengthen each camper’s faith and identity, including:
Reflective discussions and spiritual sessions that explore the Orthodox understanding of Psalm 139:14 through the teachings of the Church Fathers. Engaging, interactive programs focusing on how God’s love empowers us to love ourselves and serve others. Traditional camp activities such as games, sports, bonfires, and special fall activities fostering lifelong friendships and fun.
This Encounter will remind participants that they are wonderfully created by God and called to a life of faith and purpose in Christ.
