Altarboys Arrive Safely in Johnstown
JOHNSTOWN, PA - Seventy young men from parishes throughout the diocese have arrived safely, this evening at Christ the Saviour Seminary for the Annual Diocesan Altarboy Retreat. They begin a three day long retreat from the world, to grow closer to our Lord and discern His Will for their lives. The theme of this year's retreat is "Experienceing the Holy Mysteries of the Church as A Priest"
In addition to participation in daily prayers, liturgical services, classes, and instruction in Plain Chant, the boys will be hosted tommorow by the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish of Windber, PA where they will enjoy swimming, sports and other recreational activities, and a barbeque.
On Tuesday all will participate in the Divine Liturgy in the Diocesan Cathedral and after brunch and classes, will board the buses for an excursion to Pittsburgh where they will enjoy a Pittsburgh Pirates Game.
