Bishop Gregory Begins Archpastoral Visitation to Canada
OTTAWA, CANADA -- His Grace, Bishop Gregory began, this weekend, his first Archpastoral Visitation to Canada. His Grace, Bishop Gregory was greeted upon his arrival by Very Rev. Protopresbyter Maxym Lysack, the Dean of the Canadian Deanery, and pastor of Christ the Saviour Church in Ottawa.
Bishop Gregory led the weekend celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Christ the Saviour Parish community where he presided over Saturday Evening Vespers and the Sunday Hierarchical Liturgy. Over the course of the weekend the parish faithful, parish ministry leadership and the youth were given the opportunity to meet with Bishop Gregory.
The Archpastoral journey to the northern-most region of the Diocese continues tommorow, as His Grace, Bishop Gregory travels to Toronto to preside over Vespers at St. Euphrosynia Bylorussian Orthodox Church. On Tuesday, September, 10, 2013 His Grace will visit St. Silouan the Athonite Parish and St. John The Compassionate Mission, also located in Toronto, where he will celebrate the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, during which Subdeacon Theodore Alamanos will be ordained to the Diaconate.
