JOHNSTOWN, PA -- The spring semester of the 2011-2012 academic year at Christ the Saviour Seminary opened with the celebration of the Liturgy in the Seminary Chapel of the Three Hierarchs on Monday, January 16. Liturgy was celebrated by Protopresbyter Frank P. Miloro, Chancellor/Seminary Dean. Classes offered this semester are: Writings of the Later Fathers (Very Rev. James Gleason); Homiletics II (Very Rev. Jonathan Tobias); Pauline Writings (Protopresbyter Kenneth Bachofsky); Practicum in Liturgy (Protopresbyter Frank P. Miloro); Voice and Chant Practicum (Very Rev. James Gleason and Ms. Helen Spanovich); Parish Administration (Protopresbyter Frank P. Miloro and Very Rev. John Brancho); Canon Law (Very Rev. James Gleason); and Pastoral Field Education (Mr. John Mavrodis). The Seminary was founded in 1940 by the late Metropolitan Orestes P. Chornock.
