North Royalton Ohio Parish Impacted By Hurricane Sandy
JOHNSTOWN, PA --- The Diocesan Chancery has received word that while there is extensive power outages in the Eastern Seaboard Region, early indications are that no serious damage has taken place to diocesan church properties in the New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Connecticut areas.
However, the chancery has learned from Very Rev. Protopresbyter David Smoley, pastor of Christ the Saviour Parish of North Royalton, Ohio, that high winds from Hurricane Sandy blew the cupola off the church roof. This accompanied with heavy rain, caused water leakage in the Church Sanctuary and Narthex and some flooding of the Church basement.
Parishes which have experienced any storm related damage are kindly asked to contact the Diocesan Chancery as soon as possible.
Diocesan faithful are kindly asked to keep the North Royalton Parish in their prayers. More information will be forthcoming.
