JOHNSTOWN, PA -- [Diocesan Chancery]  The National Junior American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Youth (Jr. ACRY) is excited to announce the upcoming annual Fall Encounter at Camp Nazareth, scheduled for November 8th to 10th, 2024. Our children need time together with their brothers and sisters in Christ and this event promises to be an enriching experience for Orthodox youth aged 8 to 18 from across the diocese, offering a unique opportunity for spiritual growth, fellowship, and fun in the beautiful setting of Camp Nazareth in Mercer, PA.

JOHNSTOWN, PA  [Diocesan Chancery] --  Calling all Diocesan Camp Nazareth Alumni (current and former campers, volunteers, clergy and staff) who are Seniors in college or older!!  Camp is hosting an Alumni Weekend October 11-13, 2024 at the Camp.

There'll be time for hanging out, hiking, visiting the Gift Shop, for stories and getting to know each other, and for prayer and church services.  Entertainment, a guest speaker and an alumni forum are also a part of the schedule.  We have a few surprises for you as well! 

Metropolitan Gregory Participates in Triennial Synaxis of Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne in Constantinople

JOHNSTOWN, PA [Diocesan Chancery] -- On Sunday September 1, 2024, His Eminence Metropolitan Gregory of Nyssa joined together with Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne from across the globe in order to co-preside with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew at the Divine Liturgy in the Venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George in commemoration of the feast of Indiction — the proclamation of the New Ecclesiastical Year.

Following the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence participated in the customary Act of the Signing of the New Indiction with his fellow brother Hierarchs.

This occasion also coincides with the triennial Synaxis of Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne, which will take place in Istanbul, September 1-3, 2024, under the chairmanship of His All-Holiness, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew
