Archpastoral Letter for the Nativity 2025/2026
Today I greet you with great joy and love in the Name of our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ. Let us give thanks to Almighty God, by whose grace we have been given this opportunity to celebrate the Birth of His Son.
As we look around ourselves, we find mistrust, suffering, hatred, homelessness, drug overdoses, crime, and senseless killings and the absence of peace and love in our homes, neighborhoods, cities, country and in fact the whole world. This reality in our lives makes us to want to cry out for God's help, assistance and intervention.
Christ the Saviour Seminary Announces their Spring 2026 Vocations Retreat
JOHNSTOWN, PA [Diocesan Chancery] -- Considering a life in Church ministry? Christ the Saviour Seminary invites all men of the diocese to a weekend retreat occurring on May 15-17, 2026, at Christ the Saviour Seminary in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
Participants will get a taste of seminary life by participating in the typical cycle of prayer services and experience classes taught by current professors.
ACRY Launches 2026 Diocesan Wide Stewardship Drive
JOHNSTOWN, PA [Diocesan Chancery] -- With the blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Gregory the National American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Youth Organization, has launched its Annual Stewardship Drive, to benefit charitable activities both within and outside of the Diocese. The ACRY is calling upon all parishes of the Diocese to support this philanthropic endeavor of the National ACRY during the season of the Nativity Fast (Advent)
