Wonderworking Icon Visits Christ the Saviour Cathedral
On Wednesday, October 20, 2010 Christ the Saviour Cathedral was blessed with the visitation of the Myrrhstreaming Hawaii Iveron Icon of the Mother of God which is presently travelling to Orthodox Parishes throughout the U.S.
The icon, upon its arrival in Johnstown at 8:00 am, was met by His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas in the Narthex of Cathedral Church, where it was led in procession to a special place of honor on the Tetrapod. A Moleben to the Most Holy Mother of God was immediately served by Very Rev. Protopresbyter Frank Miloro, and assisted by the Rev. Deacon David Mastroberte.
