Robert Salley Fell_Asleep-In-The-Lord, suddenly, yesterday, September 12, 2012. Born Oct. 19, 1943, in Johnstown, daughter of Nicholas and Helen (Pazin) Laichak. Pani Magdaline was a truly loving and caring personand a great listener, who always placed the needs of others before herself. This was evident with how her four children were raised and also how she helped St. Michael's Orthodox Church in Clymer, of which her husband, the Very Rev. Robert Salley, was pastor for more than 38 years. She had a true devotion to her faith and trust in God and always believed that things will work out for the best. Faith and family were the true cornerstones of her life.

JOHNSTOWN, PA -- The Diocesan Chancery has been informed that His Eminence, Archbishop Jan of Presov, Slovakia reposed in the Lord on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the age of 75. Archbishop Jan (John) Holoni was born on January 29th, 1937 in Trebišov, Slovakia. In 1958 His Eminence, completed the Orthodox Theological Faculty in Presov, and was ordained, that same year deacon and later priest.

DIOCESAN CHANCERY -- Protodeacon John Youhas returned home to the Lord and entered into eternal rest with his family at his side early Friday morning, July 20, 2012, after a year long battle with cancer. Born May 17, 1950, in Central City, PA, the son of John and Kathryn (Pribish) Youhas, he was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Ambridge, PA. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Andrew (Katren) Pribish, and Michael (Mary) Youhas; and many aunts and uncles. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Bonita (Ronald) Raible of Callawassie Island-Okatie, SC; niece, Tamara (Danny) Wilson of Boynton Beach, FL; along with several uncles, aunts and cousins.

PASSAIC, N.J. (CNS) -- Retired Bishop Andrew Pataki of the Byzantine Diocese of Passaic died Dec. 8 after an automobile accident in New Jersey. He was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, about 60 miles from Passaic, where he died from his injuries. Bishop Pataki was 84.
