His Eminence, The Archbishop was eighty-seven years old.

CHICAGO, IL -- His Eminence, Metropolitan Christopher [Kovacevich] of Libertyville and Chicago of the Serbian Orthodox Church fell alseep in the Lord here on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, the eve of the Great Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord according to the Julian Calendar. Metropolitan Christopher recently had been diagnosed with bone and brain cancer, for which he was undergoing treatment.

David most recently served as the pastor of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Altoona, PA. Fr David was a doctoral student in theology at Duquense University, the chaplain for the Orthodox Christian Fellowship in Pittsburgh and an adjunct professor at SS Cyril & Methodius Byzantine Catholic Seminary in Pittsburgh.
