The Folk Group Kecera comes to Johstown

Christ the Saviour Cathedral is proud to sponsor “Kecera”, a Rusyn Folk Ensemble from Jacubany, Slovakia Friday, September 19, 2014, This is the first tour in the USA for this award winning group and they are making a point of performing in Johnstown, since so many from the village of Jacubany immigrated to this area.  Kecera depicts traditional Rusyn life through song, dance and their colorful costumes.  Kecera will be performing at the Hiram G. Andrews Center, 727 Goucher Street, in Johnstown, PA.  Advance tickets are only $10 each or you may purchase them at the door for $12.00. Your family roots don’t have to be from the Carpathian Mountains or even Slovakia to enjoy this performance.
